Abstract

The goal of this note is to show how inference with soft constraints can be solved using an off-the-shelf ILP solver. We will introduce soft constraints and then show how they can be introduced into the inference problem using the same representation as hard constraints. The note ends with examples that works out the details of incorporating disjunctive and equality soft constraints.
